Courtney's Family Session with Grandpa

Friday afternoon I received a text from my old roommate asking if I can do a last minute family session. Her text said her Grandpa doesn't have much time left and she it was important to her to have pictures done with him and her girls.
I checked with one of my scheduled sessions and I was able to move some time around to do her session the next day (yesterday). She then told me her mom and her siblings wanted to join.

We met at John Paul Landing Park. I was pretty hot and humid (of course because, Houston.) and the sun was out and getting pretty harsh. I was still able to get all of these in natural light. I started with my 70-200mm and switched to my 16-80.

I am so proud of these photos. I feel like I was able to deliver all of the photos that were desired, plus capture a true cowboy who lived a good long life. These are some of my favorite portraits I have taken so far and it brings me so much joy to know that these will be cherished for a long time.

Ezra's Toy Story Themed Birthday Shoot

This has to be one of the top cutest sessions I've done so far. Ezra loves Toy Story, but in his words, he calls the movies "Story Books." (Same thing, ha!)    Ezra immediately  laid out all of his "friends" and told me how excited he was to take pictures with them.   At the beginning of the shoot I would get about 3 pictures in and he would ask to see what I captured. His excitement shows in each picture. What a wonderful spirit he is. I am so happy Dominique chose me to capture these precious moments.

Samantha & Taylor's Engagement

I can not begin to tell y'all how happ these photos make me. I've know Samantha for 8 (ish) years. I've seen her grow as a wonderful Mother and now Soon-To-Be Wife and Stepmom. These two are an incredible #fitcouple who not only keep each other motivated, but also anyone who follows them. Finally meeting their furbabies I've seen posted so many times. They were such good models. Gemma is just a sweet old lady and Knight is a STUD. I can't believe how big he is in person. He took off running across the feild at one point and I thought he look exactly like a big wolf! When we put them in the truck to get some more photos, Taylor told me he had a pillow in the back. I told him I would grab it, and went to open the door when Knight took a good look at me, if I didn't know any better I would have dropped dead. He is one of those dogs who might be a big ole softy, but I am also 100% convinced he could use me as a snack if he wanted to.  Samantha...

Cole Twins at the Pumpkin Patch

I 've know Ashley from back in our "Whiskey River Days," and I've watcher her through social media find the love of her life, have a beautiful wedding, and now be an incredible mama raising these two precious little girls, Rylie & Adeline. It was fun to learn what a surprise blessing they were. Ashley found out at her 8 week appointment that her one embryo became two for identical girls. As I am trying to become a mom myself, I can only imagine the shock and excitement that came from finding out. They were so precious to meet and capture. I get the privilege of seeing them again in a few weeks to get their Christmas Card photos. I can't wait to  capture more precious moments for Ashley and her beautiful family. Thank you Ashley for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to capture these of you and your gorgeous girls. I looking forward to seeing y'all in a few weeks.
